At the time, one of the &#8220;dealers&#8221; I asked about this coin looked at me like I was talking gibberish&#8230; &#8220;no half dollar with a tree like that&#8230; only on the state quarter.&#8221;  I had to dig out Redbook and explain what I was looking for&#8230; I eventually went on to a (real) coin dealer that knew what I was talking about.<\/p>\n<p>I guess it&#8217;s an easy way to differentiate between a true coin dealer\/collector vs someone looking to dump some coins at the local show.  Seems like a missed opportunity for both a sale and new information if you can&#8217;t take a few moments to look something up or inquire more information from the customer.
